Thank-You Walmart-Kitchener Sunrise!

Posted on May 24th, 2013

imageThe Walmart at Kitchener Sunrise Plaza is helping their local community by generously hosting a Canadian Community Support Foundation used clothing donation bin. This bin has already generated a $500 donation for their current Children’s Miracle Network campaign and will continue to generate donations to other local charities.

We are very much looking forward to attending their Family Fun Day on June 1, 2013 at 11:00am on the sidewalk next to the garden centre. The event promises face painting, hennas, an opportunity to get your picture taken with local firemen, an opportunity to meet our local police and sit in a police car.  There will be childrens’ safety finger printing, fun with water balloons, candy floss, a chip wagon, Slushies, Krispy Kremes, a lemonade stand, music, a BBQ, balloons and plenty of more fun stuff for the kids!

CCSF will be on hand to talk about all the wonderful things we do across Ontario, as well as educate people about textile waste recycling and what happens to the used clothing collected, hoping to raise awareness of the bin and generate more donations.

We encourage you to join us at Kitchener Sunrise Plaza on June 1st. Bring along your used clothing and other textile waste, regardless of condition to help a great local cause! The bin will remain after the event as a continued source of stable support for the Canadian Community Support Foundation and all the local charities we serve.
