Sharing HOPE with Shirts

Hope LogoThe HOPE Centre – its name says it all – hope, opportunity, change and help. The Centre provides services and programs that assist a broad range of vulnerable people, many of whom are struggling with poverty related issues. And this Centre, which does receive some funding, also relies on the generosity of members of its community for supplies and support.

A proud supporter of The Hope Centre, The Canadian Community Support Foundation (CCSF)  recently delivered a gift of several boxes of brand new, donated shirts that will be shared withThe Hope Centre’s clients.

Located on East Main Street, The Hope Centre runs an emergency hostel for men and women, they serve lunch daily from their Hope Kitchen, and the Hope Pantry helps to supplement groceries for families in need. They also help people find and keep warm affordable housing through a housing registry and coaching program. Children and families can get help with winter clothing, literacy, sports and even holiday baskets. The Hope Centre keeps its eyes on the community and steps in wherever needed. It is also working to drive social change, so that the difference they make today is sustainable for the future.

Our mission at CCSF is to provide a safety net for those at risk of falling through the cracks. In addition to our own efforts to feed and clothe Canadians in need, we provide assistance to existing charities serving in our communities, charities like The Hope Centre. Sharing Hope

Our primary source of funding is through clothing donation boxes. By donating unwanted and gently used clothing and other textiles, you are helping us to help others. Additionally, when you recycle these items you are helping the planet by keeping them out of landfills and minimizing pollution.

Our clothing donation boxes are located in high traffic business areas across Ontario. If you would like to place a bin at your business, and contribute to helping the most vulnerable in our community, please contact us for more information. You can also find out more on our Facebook, follow us on Twitter or call us directly at 613-216-2603

CCSF … good for people, good for our planet.
